Austin Kim and Hanna Makowski have received the 2021 Raven Fellowship from The Raven Society. Their collaborative project aims to determine the mechanism behind self-fertilization in Campanula americana by exploring variation in the pollen collecting hairs present along the female reproductive structure.
Austin is a third year undergraduate majoring in Biology and minoring in Statistics, he is also a recipient of the Harrison award. Hanna is a third year PhD candidate in the Galloway lab. Her dissertation focuses on the role of reproduction in colonization.
